IDS Modernization and Innovation (M&I) has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Automation Engineer to join our team on the forefront of transforming manufacturing utilizing cutting edge technology. This position is tailor made for a results oriented person with incredible attention to detail. In this role, you will work at all levels within the organization and across the Enterprise. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Engage in daily interaction with other CBT (cross-business teams) throughout IDS and Raytheon to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include: technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, VM, PRISM, FOS, VBS, IDS ET&MA and quality. Achieving/exceeding cost, quality, delivery, safety goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position. Supports deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress, identify root causes of hardware design, production capacity, quality and staffing issues and develop/implement corrective action plans. Key Responsibilities: Driving modernization and innovation across IDS and the enterprise through factory automation, process automation, and data analytics Ability to plan long term and work alongside a complex business function in order to contribute to defining the strategy and execute the tactical Exceptional facilitation skills in order to work collaboratively across the business Ability to identify analytics solutions to any business challenge Confidence to challenge legacy thinking and the ability to drive change Act as a data and database subject matter expert Partnering with GBS (VBS) on tool creation, manufacturing alignment, strategy and issue resolution Developing error proofed solutions and ensure manufacturing focus is on cost, quality, schedule and safety Leading teams across the organization on an as-needed basis for special automation projects U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
