BAE Systems Electrical Engineer II in Merrimack, New Hampshire
The Hardware Engineering group within Electronic Systems (ES) of BAE Systems is looking for candidates who are currently in a postgraduate program to join our team for the summer of 2018. This is a temporary position for a high potential student working on a post-graduate degree and is looking for real world work experience.

This particular position is to support the Sensor Technologies portion of Technology Solutions. Our Sensor Technologies team focuses on innovating new materials, laser, sensors and algorithms along with integrating these and other technologies into higher level systems. We focus on integrating leading edge technologies and demonstrating the art of the possible for our customers.
This position will work side-by-side with experienced engineers, scientists and senior science staff in various work settings, to include simulation and engineering lab environments. You will also gain experience with development and prediction system level performance and analysis. This job is at BAE Systems in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
FPGA firmware development, managing interfaces, housekeeping, data handling/storage and communication
Develop and validate control firmware used in Xilinx FPGA
Presentation of results to team leaders, government sponsors, and internal senior staff members
Create MATLAB and Python-based test procedures for automated testing
Collaboration with PCB fabricators, specialty electronics suppliers, and other vendors to support project needs
Preferred Skills and Education
Pursuing an MS Degree in Physics or Engineering, having completed at least 5 years of schooling by summer 2018.
