ReVision Energy Development and Community Outreach Coordinator in Portland, Maine

Our Portland, ME location is currently looking to grow their team by adding a Development and Outreach Coordinator to the Marketing team.


Through paid, on the job training, we will help you become a knowledgeable professional about the solar industry so that you can effectively communicate the ReVision Energy difference and be able to educate people about the benefits of solar + complementary technologies (heat pumps, battery storage, electric vehicle charging) through events including giving presentations to groups of interested homeowners. Hours include some night and weekends.

Role and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Develop and execute marketing activities to attract new client leads and build ubiquitous and authentic brand awareness throughout our Maine territory; territory marketing plan development and execution

  • Build relationships with communities by reaching out to thought leaders, influencers and local community groups and nonprofits

  • Develop community organizing programs to generate qualified leads and to enhance our goal of being ubiquitous and authentic

  • Identify, coordinate and staff marketing events, including evening and weekend work;

  • Identify and engage with schools, nonprofits and municipality prospects and clients to develop marketing partnerships; create and execute event marketing and stakeholder marketing activities with aforementioned

  • Work with current commercial clients to help market their systems

Critical Skills/ Attributes - Required

  • An outgoing, sunny attitude is a must!

  • Passion, creativity and motivation to help solve the problem of fossil fuels and carbon pollution

  • Must have excellent customer service skills as well as strong oral and written communication abilities

  • Must have strong organizational skills

  • Must be able to work self-guided in a fast-paced and growing environment, as well as work well within a team

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and other commonly used software, including internet and email

  • Preferred experience in business, marketing, journalism or public relations

    Working Conditions/ Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds

  • Regularly operates computer and phone

  • Must have clean and valid driver’s license

  • Willing to work nights and weekends when needed
