Job Description: Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) has a position within the Seapower Capability Systems (SCS) Business Area with primary responsibilities supporting the Total Ship Integrated Systems Product Area, with a concentration on DDG1000 Zumwalt Program. This position will be located at IDS Headquarters in Tewksbury, MA. Duties will include participation in front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and significant customer activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Candidate must be able to readily adapt in a challenging, fast-paced environment dealing with complex contracting matters. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, to be able to research compliance issues, interpret regulations, and formulate recommendations, is an effective team member, can be efficient at multi-tasking, has proficient knowledge of FAR and DFAR, has sound oral and written communication skills, has working knowledge of contractual databases as well as knowledge of ITAR and EAR. The Contracts Manager supporting this key program area will also be responsible for management of the customer relationship and provide key business counsel and leadership to the Program Management Team. Individual must be prepared to negotiate sound business deals with its customers and provide governance to the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract. PLEASE NOTE – This role will be filled at Salary Grade G09 or G010 level dependent upon the qualifications of the applicant of choice as determined by the hiring manager . Required Skills: 6+ years of experience in the field of Contract Management, Negotiations, Finance, Supply Chain, Program Management or related fields Strong knowledge and experience working with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, etc. and/or related government regulations Experience in negotiating complex proposals/contracts Ability to obtain or currently possess Secret Clearance. Desired Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain high-performance relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers Ability to solve problems, develop solutions and assist the business leaders in achieving their financial and performance goals and objectives. Financial understanding of rate structures and pricing strategies An organized and systematic approach to task management that enables timely closure of actions. Team player with strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently with limited guidance Knowledge of program management principles Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills (formal correspondence to customers) Experience researching compliance issues, applicable regulations and laws, and formulate recommendations to management.
