We are seeking an experiencedDirector, Corporate Internal Communicationsfor our Corporate Communications Group located inWilmington, MA.

TheDirector, Corporate Internal Communicationsis a key role within the Corporate Communication Group that is responsible for developing and implementing internal communication strategies and plans that engage, align and inspire employees with Charles River’s vision and business strategy and drives employees' understanding and engagement on Charles River’s priorities and key initiatives. This position will work closely with senior leaders on communication strategies and activities to support key corporate initiatives. Additionally the Director, Corporate Internal Communications will recommend and plan communications strategies, programs or activities that address specific business issues or employee needs and achieve desired results.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Director, Corporate Internal Communicationsposition.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in marketing, communications, human resources or related discipline.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

  • Minimum of ten years relevant experience

  • Excellent writing and marketing skills required.

  • Effective communication skills for large, multinational audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, influencing, aligning, and active listening.

  • Prior experience discussing communication needs with senior leaders and key stakeholders at a global level.

  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work with tight deadlines and competing priorities.

The Corporate Functions provide operational support across Charles River in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Corporate Development. They partner with their colleagues across the company to develop and drive strategies and to set global standards. The functions are essential to providing a bridge between strategic vision and operational readiness, to ensure ongoing functional innovation and capability improvement.
